Hershey’s Gardens – First Spring 2012

Yesterday, Kids and I went to Hershey’s Gardens for the Lenten Season. I thought it would be a perfect time to visit this place again to witness the tulips in full bloom. Hubby didn’t go with us this time because he has so many things to do that needs to be done as soon as possible. But he promised us that he will take us to Hershey’s Park next week. I hope he will keep his promise, cause the kids are looking forward to it. :-)

Anyhow, here are some of our photos in the Garden taken by my Canon T3. I was surprised that there is a big Cross in the middle of the Tulips Garden. Seeing the Cross made me feel emotional a little bit. I said a little prayer, thanking Jesus for sacrificing his life to save us from our sins, for all the Blessings in our life, and for giving me these 2 beautiful smart kids, that always brightens my boring days. I cant thank Him enough. :-)

I was glad we went yesterday. We had so much fun even though its only 3 of us. Maybe in June, we will visit this place again to see the Roses in bloom.

Hershey Gardens – First Spring 2010

Hershey Gardens are one of the prettiest place to visit here in the Southern PA. I bet all of the spring flowers that Mrs Hershey planted are blooming by now. I so love this place, its very peaceful, very relaxing, so quite, and so nice to walk around because you will find a lot of different plants that are growing here in US, that you will love to have in your garden. The photo below was taken 2 years ago when my mom had a vacation. I took her here to witness the tulips in full bloom. Actually it was her second time to visit this place. First was in 2009 on her first vacation here in US, when my little one was just born. But its her first time to see the tulips in full bloom last Spring 2010. :-)

Hershey Gardens is a 23-acre (9.3 ha) botanical garden and arboretum located at 170 Hotel Road, Hershey, Pennsylvania, near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. They are set on top of pat’s hill overlooking Hersheypark. It was built as a gift from chocolate magnate Milton S. Hershey for his community and to honor his wife, Catherine.

It was first opened to public on June 2, 1937 as a rose garden, there were 20,000 visitors on the first day, so Milton Hershey decided to expand the garden to its current size. Its a pretty big garden with a lot of fun stuff to do specially for the kids.

They have a Butterfly House that is open on Mid May until September.
The Children’s Garden the is designed for kids imagination.
Theme Gardens and Seasonal Attractions

The main show of this garden is the Rose Garden. To capture the beauty of their rose garden, you need to visit by June-July. Ive never visited Hershey Garden at that time of the year. Maybe this year I will take my kids there when all the roses are in full bloom. We visited this place twice already. Hoping to visit tomorrow to see the Tulips in full bloom ones again. :-)

TT, Happiness is..
