Butterfly Garden of Hersheys Gardens

I took my kids to Hersheys Gardens last month to see their butterfly garden. It was our first time to see it even though we’ve been to this garden many times already. Its because we usually visit this place in the Spring season to see the tulips, and the butterfly garden is usually close for the season, it only opens during Summer season.  So last month, I decided to visit this garden again and this time for the the butterfly garden and the rose garden. My kids were so amazed at all the butterflies. We’ve never seen so many butterflies before. Their are so many kinds of butterflies flying above our heads and landing on our clothes and nose. I have to watch my little guy closely and told him over and over again to be gentle with the butterflies and never touch them cause they are very delicate. I was so glad that we visited the place, it was amazing I tell you. Below are some of my shots of the butterflies. Aren’t they all so pretty?

if you look closer at this photo you will see a caterpillar. This is a Monarch Butterfly

The Children’s Garden

I apologize for this late post. I was not in the mood to update this blog lately, blame it on the hormones. lol.

Anyhow, as for my entry for this week Tuesday Travel is The Children’s Garden of Hershey’s Gardens.

From my previous post you will know that we visited Hershey’s Gardens last Friday to see the tulips ones again that only blooms in early Spring. When we got there, the kids were so excited to see the Children’s Garden right away. But I decided to see it last so I can enjoy the beauty of the other Gardens. You know how kids are, they get so hyper seeing all the fun stuff, and before you know it, you’re already worn out from chasing them, then looking around the garden would be so tiring already. They probably think they can out smart mommy ha.. im still the smartest. Lol!

Anyway.. enough of chit chat, below are our photos in the Children’s Garden.

PhotobucketThis is the entrance sign. Its really beautiful. Love the kisses on the side. You can see on the photo above the part of the Arc entrance with vines growing around it. Entering this garden is like magical for the kids, because of the beautiful flowers around the place and butterflies and bugs everywhere.

PhotobucketBy the Giant Hersheys Kisses that shoots water, thats why they are putting their hands on the opening. The little guy was so amazed with these Giant Kisses. He said he wants the biggest, and he is not sharing. lol.

PhotobucketA musical alligator. One of the musical things in the garden that kids loves to play with.

PhotobucketMr. Pink Piggy

Photobucketwith Mr Cow. They were saying Cow and Moo

PhotobucketThe little guy love this cute boat! If I dont drag him, he would never stop playing in this boat. lol

There’s more on this garden. I was not able to photograph them all because I was so tired already. There’s a little Maze next to this boat, a cute sun dial, a cute native house with native furnitures, a bamboo hut, and a place where the birds hang out. Lots of pretty cool stuff for the kids to enjoy.

Hershey’s Gardens – First Spring 2012

Yesterday, Kids and I went to Hershey’s Gardens for the Lenten Season. I thought it would be a perfect time to visit this place again to witness the tulips in full bloom. Hubby didn’t go with us this time because he has so many things to do that needs to be done as soon as possible. But he promised us that he will take us to Hershey’s Park next week. I hope he will keep his promise, cause the kids are looking forward to it. :-)

Anyhow, here are some of our photos in the Garden taken by my Canon T3. I was surprised that there is a big Cross in the middle of the Tulips Garden. Seeing the Cross made me feel emotional a little bit. I said a little prayer, thanking Jesus for sacrificing his life to save us from our sins, for all the Blessings in our life, and for giving me these 2 beautiful smart kids, that always brightens my boring days. I cant thank Him enough. :-)

I was glad we went yesterday. We had so much fun even though its only 3 of us. Maybe in June, we will visit this place again to see the Roses in bloom.
