Our Last Day in Virginia Beach

Ok, so this is a bit late. I am so behind in updating this blog, that all my travels are piling up. I have so many travels to share to you, but i just don’t have the energy to write here. :-(

Anyhow, I want to share to you our experienced on our last day in Virginia Beach Summer 2012.

On our last day, our plan was to check out the Naval Air Station Oceana. I was so excited to visit this place, but to my excitement I forgot to remind hubby to bring his wallet. When we were at the bus stop, that’s when I remembered that you cant get in without proper identification. Hubby forgot to bring his wallet where he put all his identification cards. He was gonna run for it, but it was only 10mins left before the bus leaves for the base. And if he run to get it, I don’t thing he would make it, because we park the car at the hotel parking lot which is a half a mile away from the bus stop. It was the last trip to go to the base, so I was really devastated, because I really wanna see those firefighter jets that I’ve seen on TV. I thought it would be a good experience especially for the kids to see it in person. It was our last day in Va, so there was no way to see it the next day, because in the afternoon, we will be traversing back home. With sad faces, we returned the tickets that we bought at the ticket booth and tried to forget about it. Since it was still early to head home, we make most of our time in the beach by renting one of those family bikes for an hour.

My kuya had been wanting to ride these bikes ever since we got there. And finally he got his wish. Below are some of our photos riding the bike along the bicycle lane that is just at the ocean front. He probably think its easy to pedal this kind of bike if there is only one pedaling. lol. Check out the little guy’s face, he wants to pedal also. hehe

Plop plop pushing the bike because kuya had a hard time pedaling.

Poor Plop Plop, have to pushed all the way thru. lol.

Riding this bikes are one of the things to do in Virginia Beach. I cant remember how much it cost to rent it for an hour. All I know it was reasonable enough. You can find bike rentals every where here in VA, they also have bicycle rentals and blade rentals. Its fun to ride this bikes, at the same time tiringĀ  if you’re gonna ride it from the end to end.

And below is hubby and yours truly on our last day in Virginia Beach. Check out my tan skin. =D

Virginia Beach Summer 2012

Last Summer August 2012, hubby and I celebrated our 5th year of togetherness in Virginia Beach, again! It was our second time to visit the place, and I don’t think I could get enough of it. Living far from the beach makes one crave for the beach. I was craving for a beach experience alright, and its the only time that I can fulfill this crave. Since Virginia Beach is the closest beach that we find nice, we drove down there for 8 hours just to feel the sand, taste the ocean water, and inhale fresh breeze from the ocean. It was wonderful! If you live far from any sea water, you will understand the feeling. But I got the feeling that this would be the last to visit the pretty beach of Virginia, for hubby was not happy of our experienced there last Summer.

Anyway, I would like to share to you guys some of the photos I took of Virginia Beach.PhotobucketVirginia Beach in the morningPhotobucketFeeling the sands under my feet was heaven!Photobucket Kids dig in the sands right away with their beach toys.Photobucket Father and Son building their sand castle.
