HersheyPark’s Famous Carrousel

As for this week Tuesday Travels, I would like to feature the Famous Carrousel of HersheyPark’s.

Wow, I mean I didnt know that this carrousel is full of history. I thought that its just a plain carrousel that is fun to ride, but I can sense that there is something special about it ones you ride on one of the horses and its chariots. And when you touch it, its like so smooth and feel so nice. A couple of weeks ago was my second time to visit the Hershey Park, and that’s when I learned about its history when I read the sign posted next to it. I was like.. Wow, why I didnt notice that at the first visit? I just realized that I rode a piece of history of America. Pretty cool aye! (mao diay gi lawa lawa na ang sign. hehe)

I want to take a picture of the whole Carrousel but its so impossible with all the people walking by it and some other rides that are covering it. So I just took a closer shot of the Carrousel. Below are some of its beautiful horses.Photobucket

If you notice on the photo below, the rim of the Carrousel was wove with Patriotic theme by the artisan, because in 1919, America were still celebrating the victory in “the war to end all wars.”  As you can see, red white and blue flags, lady liberty, and gilded Eagles are featured all along the top. And the Mirrored shields along the top of the inner facade, signify America new role as a new world power. (source Yahoo)

Wow what a history right? A lot of people who ride the Carrousel probably didnt know that they are riding one of the oldest Carrousel in US.Photobucket

And below are two of my favorite boys, who are enjoying the ride. And this photo would be my entry for #189 BPCPhotobucket

Dreaming of NC

I had been dreaming about the beaches in North Carolina ever since I relocated here in US. I’ve heard so much about how beautiful it is, and how nice the people living in there. I wish to visit this State one day for a vacation even just for a couple of days. I dont think its that far from PA, just a few hours drive from where we are. I bet its nice to live by the beach, the view would be a total relaxation after the busy life at work. I wonder how much would the cost of living by the beach? Pretty sure it would be quite expensive. But if you are like searching for a real estate southport nc, you can check out the seacoastrealty.com to help you search for a beautiful home near the water.
