As for this week Tuesday Travels, I would like to feature the Famous Carrousel of HersheyPark’s.
Wow, I mean I didnt know that this carrousel is full of history. I thought that its just a plain carrousel that is fun to ride, but I can sense that there is something special about it ones you ride on one of the horses and its chariots. And when you touch it, its like so smooth and feel so nice. A couple of weeks ago was my second time to visit the Hershey Park, and that’s when I learned about its history when I read the sign posted next to it. I was like.. Wow, why I didnt notice that at the first visit? I just realized that I rode a piece of history of America. Pretty cool aye! (mao diay gi lawa lawa na ang sign. hehe)

I want to take a picture of the whole Carrousel but its so impossible with all the people walking by it and some other rides that are covering it. So I just took a closer shot of the Carrousel. Below are some of its beautiful horses.
If you notice on the photo below, the rim of the Carrousel was wove with Patriotic theme by the artisan, because in 1919, America were still celebrating the victory in “the war to end all wars.” As you can see, red white and blue flags, lady liberty, and gilded Eagles are featured all along the top. And the Mirrored shields along the top of the inner facade, signify America new role as a new world power. (source Yahoo)
Wow what a history right? A lot of people who ride the Carrousel probably didnt know that they are riding one of the oldest Carrousel in US.
And below are two of my favorite boys, who are enjoying the ride. And this photo would be my entry for #189 BPC
